McGarren Flack is a distinguished artist and educator specializing in representational painting and drawing, with a focus on the human figure. Born and raised in Utah, Flack enrolled at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, where he was accepted into the Illustration program. There, he honed his skills earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Illustration in 2005.Flack pursued further studies and was accepted in 2006 into the University of Utah’s Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) program in Painting and Drawing.
Today, Flack serves as a full-time Associate Professor of Art and the MFA Program Director at Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah, while selling his artwork to collectors nationwide. His journey reflects resilience, dedication to classical techniques, and a commitment to mentoring emerging artists.
